Keyboards - Synthesisers
This is the latest in a very long line of Keyboard Synthesiser Workstations As you know, I specialise in these types of instruments as I fully believe that all Of today`s pop music and that throughout the years can be best played and imitated on a keyboard. Lets face it, most music today is based on sampled music. In the 30s, 40s and 50s, music was actually played by many musicians - take an orchestra for example, in the band it was quite usual to have as many as 40 musicians playing in the band, and as many as 76! Who can afford to pay for all those musicians doing a gig? After all, it is now possible these days to produce exactly the same sounds through each instrument being sampled, each can be recorded on sequencer and played by just ONE person. Only one person to pay! It makes sense. Synths have got so good that even producing guitar and string sounds are easy too, then 50s, 60s, 70s and the rest of the years are covered too.

Guitarists have always had the edge over gigging keyboard players and have the lions share of the work. This is due to ignorant morons labelling all keyboard players as Organists! After all, comparing a keyboard to an organ is like calling a trumpet a tuba! same family- different instrument. Most solo guitarists use backing tracks, and they are usually produced on (Yes, you`ve guessed it!) - a keyboard. I ought to know, I produce them for guitarists ! So forget the organist crap! I play keyboards and I`m proud of it and have been continual for 41 years.

At least 2 keyboards are used in every show except very small venues where only one is used. On larger shows up to 4 keyboards are used with other instruments where space allows - the smaller the space the fewer units.
